Lady Gaga's Demons, Ann Coulter's Demonic, And The Modern World That Leaves No Room For God

Mozart: Piano concerto No. 21 in C major

I forgot to bring my earphones to the lovely C-Cafe, so that I could drink my coffee without that incessant music "quietly playing" (that's what the guy at the front told me) coming from the speakers at the back of the room. I had Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 21 saved on my Google drive.

I got into a fight with the guy saying that he put it on as soon as I got into the room because he has it in for me (I've reported his bad service before to the management), and can't he turn it off for a short while, since there's no-one here yet.

"It's policy."

"Oh, it's policy for people like you."

"What do you mean?"

He was implying that I was implying that "people like you" means black people.

"People like you," pointing at him.

"I'm calling security. I don't have to work like this."

"Oh, so you can't even handle one small woman like me, yet you were ready for a fight!"

He called security, a nice officer named Linda.

"Officer Linda," I said, without any sarcasm.

"Yes, Officer Linda. You don't like music?"

"I've performed music. I was a pianist, and I sang in many choirs. I know what music is about. This incessant music that's everywhere produces people like him," pointing at the guy.

"And, this kind of music doesn't let you concentrate. You make mistakes. And he's a short-order cook. Who knows what he does at the grill."

Well, this guy had to report me, because his name is already with the management. And I've noticed that they've cut down his hours. So, this performance was really a fight for his job.

I wonder how long he will last.

And Lady Gaga is performing her "Born This Way" on the radio which is playing as I type this blog.

And here is Ann Coulter's book from 2011: Demonic: How the Liberal Mob Is Endangering America. Although that was still the time when Coulter was writing in terms of revealing liberalism, so most of her language is antagonism towards liberals to make her point, this will be another book on my list which I will ask my nice lady from Chapters/Indigo to order for me. I especially like third part of the book: The Violent Tendencies of Liberals (the Amazon.com link above has parts of the book available to read on-line).

We are now in the perfect Orwellian world, or better yet, Demonic world, where human biology, or natural capacity to see, hear, and feel beauty, is shut off and replaced with noise and ugliness.

I think Charlotte Church's voice is perfect for this piece. Often, it is sung by women or boy sopranos. I think neither capture the lament of the young Mary, and when Charlotte sang this, in her more popular days, she was also barely a teenager. She released the track album "Dream a Dream", an album of Christmas carols in 2000 when she was just fourteen. Here are the lyrics.

I remember reading somewhere that the nativity story anticipates the crucifixion. The young innocent Jesus faces death, even at birth. And this cloud follows him to his actual death at Easter, still and always innocent.

We should just be thankful we had him for those few years, when in a flurry of responsibility, he disseminated so much of his message to us and his disciples.

Actually, he is a convicted criminal.

I found this dismissed (eulogized) in a 4 page write-up he got in January 2009's Toronto Life.

Just in passing, this is what he did. He...ran with a Toronto gang and spent time in jail.

I've seen him perform. There is a certain arrogance with Somalis these days, as though nothing can touch them. With writers like this, who can blame them.

I'm sure somewhere in there we can find out what a great Muslim he is (just like he's a great husband and father.)

Of course, I don't understand why she doesn't put Robert Spencer under the same scrutiny during her interview of him. Especially here:

KS: Is "moderate" Islam even possible?

RS: Anything is possible. But "moderate" Islam as an Islamic theological and legal construct does not now exist, and would need to be invented. Can it be done? The record of history shows that it is never wise to say that something could never happen. But as it would involve the overturning or wholesale reevaluation of the fonts of Islamic authority that have existed since virtually the beginning of Islam, it is extremely unlikely.

Hijab Choreography Enters Campy Music Video

A newish pop group called Dragonette has surfaced with their newly released music video for "Competition." The beginning looks fun and upbeat, with pop-art type campish images. Then about the 45 second point, enter two hijab-swathed dancers.

Martina Sorbara, lead singer of Dragonette, who was formerly a solo singer, says:

"What I was doing before was very monochromatic–it was basically piano and guitar. Because of that, I had no avenue for what was going on in my head. That's why Dragonette is so colourful and all over the place. All this stuff never had a way out until now."

Islamic imagery enters where we have no control over what we think and what we do. While it seems innocuous enough, eventually, this imagery will not just stand alongside others, in the "colorful and all over the place" manner that Martian talks about, but will attempt to take over as well. Indiscriminate acceptance of everything around us will eventually destroy and displace the cultivated imagery that have been part of the Western world. That is why we have culture, to cultivate our imagery, and not to accept anything that comes our way. Such strong contenders as Islamic imagery are just more forceful than others, and more likely to take over when we leave those cultural entrances unmonitored.

It all seems far-fetched, what with the rest of Martina's video looking very much like a young MTV-girl's lipstick, short skirts and undulating dance haven. But, there are stories of rebellious girls, who in order to find stability in their lives, have converted to the strict, hijabed world of Islam, often by marrying a Muslim.
